The Iron Lady was established in April 2000. The Original idea behind the Iron Lady was to supplement the family income, and to give us the flexibility to care for my severely disabled daughter. We quickly realised there was a great demand for an Ironing Service in our area. Business grew at an alarming rate.
Using our own small home as are base we collected and delivered Ironing. Within 3 months the work load had increased to a point where we could no long cope. We employed our first member of staff. By the end of that year we had 3 members of staff all working from our front room. We had no choice but to move the business out of our home. We were able to rent space in a vacant property in West Runton. After two years the business had increased tremendously. We had started to offer laundry services as well. That is when we moved to our present location on the Sheringham Industrial Estate.
We decided to expand our services to include Dry cleaning, clothing Alterations and Repairs.
Over the years we have continued to grow at a very fast rate expanding our Geographical area. To cover the whole of North Norfolk, and Norwich.
In 2009 we started a new venture, HOUSE CLEANING having always been asked if we knew of any good cleaners. Over the years we have tried to work with other cleaning firms to give an outstanding all round service. Sadly nothing ever seemed to work.
Talking to a few of our clients and hearing the stories they had to tell. I decided the time was now to offer our own no hidden costs, no messing cleaning service. Expecting clients to only pay for the time we are there. Our ethos is Get in, get the job done to the highest standard and get out as quick as possible.
Roping in lots of family members we now have a thriving expanding Home Cleaning service. |
